Professor Guy Julier is an authority on the culture of design and works from the Victoria & Albert Museum running a research programme that addresses contemporary issues in design and also links the museum, the university and professionals in the creative industries.

He has published widely on the political, economic and social dimensions of design culture. He has consulted and published on Spanish and Hungarian architecture, urbanism, craft and design as well as more generally on branded spaces and places, design-led urban regeneration, creative industries policy and design activism.
